Meet the Bloggers

Welcome to the inaugural post of the HarbourView Herald.  We’ve enlisted the help of guest contributors from the College of Charleston’s Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management.  A rotating selection of students will offer insight into everything Charleston.  From events large and small, to local activities and unique perspectives you won’t find in a guide book; our curated content will offer an inside look into the Holy City like non-other.  Without further ado, we would like to introduce you to…

HarbourView Inn Blogers

(Erin, Isabel, and Walker in the Cistern, College of Charleston Campus)

Erin

My name is Erin and I am a fifth year student here at the College. I am graduating this upcoming December with a degree in Business Administration and concentration in hospitality. I was born and raised right outside of Boston, MA but decided to shift gears and move down south for college, and I couldn’t be happier that I made that decision! I am currently working in the office at a popular East Bay Street restaurant located right around the corner from the HarbourView Inn.

Isabel

My name is Isabel MacLeod and I am a currently a junior at The College of Charleston studying Hospitality & Tourism Management and Business Administration. I grew up in Westport, CT and attended a small boarding school in Massachusetts. After toughing out the brutal New England winters for so long, I decided to move to down south for college. After being here for three years, I can’t picture myself ever leaving this beautiful place! I cannot say enough good things about our city and I hope we will be able to share with you the things we love about Charleston and the HarbourView Inn through our blog!

Walker

Hello all, my name is Walker Williams and I am a senior at the College of Charleston. I am graduating this spring with a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management. I am from the upstate of South Carolina and Charleston has always been a second home to me. Attending CofC was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Currently, I work at the HarbourView Inn and have been for a year and a half now. It’s a wonderful hotel in an even better city! Hope everyone enjoys our blog!

We are so excited to work closely with all of the staff at the HarbourView Inn for this blogging project. Please check in weekly to read posts that will keep you informed about fun Charleston activities, and more importantly, what’s happening here at HarbourView Inn!
